Camping with Babies & Toddlers Event

When: July 13
10:00-11:00 Presentation
11:00-12:00 Family Socks & Hats Tie dye activity

Join us on July 13th to learn more! Our friends from Parks Canada will be joining us virtually to share tips and trips for camping with your little one.

While the adults tune into the presentation, children 5 and younger are welcome to join our facilitators for a time of camping themed activities!

At the end of the presentation, families are invited to join us to tie-dye family camping socks & hats and grab a summer book and treat!

This event is in-person and will be held at the centre. If you’d like to tune in to the presentation from home, let us know. There will be a limit of 10 families at this event. Like all of our events, this is free for all families.

Family Finances Group INFO SESSION

It’s never too early to plan and save for your child’s future! Are you interested in learning more about money management? Join us at one of our upcoming info sessions for a new program starting this fall!
Dates:
September 9th from 12:30-2:30pm
OR
September 10th from 9:30-11:30am

During this Information Session, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about our upcoming family finances group, as well as hear about how we can support you in getting essential documents for your child (social insurance number & birth certificate) and setting you up with the bank of your choice.
Those in attendance will also hear about opportunities to begin saving for your child/ren and have your contributions of as little as $20 a month matched 3:1.

The program will run every other Wednesday from 9:30-11:30.

There is no cost to attend. Register now to attend the information session and you can be entered to win our door prize!

Family Day Camp

August 16-19, 8:45-12:30
Limit of 8 families in the 0-2 group.
Limit of 8 families in the 2-5 group.

Our family day camp will feature learning sessions for caregivers, programming for children, family activities, field trips, bowling, snacks & lunch and so much more!

There is no cost to attend. Registration is required.

MESSFest

When: June 29, 30 with dates in July TBA

We have a few spots available for families who are comfortable attending at the same time as one other family. There will be space to physical distance and the event will be taking place outside.

Potty Learning 101 with Haylie Lashta

Join us for a presentation provided by Haylie Lashta of Warman Physiotherapy & Wellness where she will dive into the components of potty LEARNING readiness.

• You can apply the principles to your child and arm yourself with information on how to help your child

• Stop the fighting and ultimatums.

You & Your Postpartum Body with Haylie Lashta

When: March 4

Join us for a presentation provided by Haylie Lashta of Warman Physiotherapy & Wellness where she will address common myths and misperceptions for both momma and babe!

You will want to attend this event if:
*You have had any perineal tearing
*There is pressure or heaviness of the pelvic floor (pelvic organ prolapse)
*You are worried about your diastasis or return to exercise
*You have pain in your back, hips, neck or pelvis
*Nursing is causing trouble for back, shoulder or arm pain
*You are experiencing leaking of urine (or stool)
*There is any pain or discomfort when you return to being intimate with your partner
*You have had a c-section
*Babe spent any time in the NICU
*You are wondering about the expected motor milestones and what to expect
*You have noticed babe has a bit of a flat spot on their head
*Babe is always looking the same way

A comprehensive and approachable presentation with real-life examples will be included, as well as a question and answer period

Hop Into Spring: Come & Go Event

Join us for this come and go event with your family! Spring-related costumes are welcome!

Spots are limited. Covid guidelines will be followed including mask-wearing and a screening questionnaire upon arrival.

Family Yoga

Join Jacinda Scott from CFS Saskatoon for a family friendly hour of fun movement! Due to COVID-19 precautions, January’s session will be virtual.

Whether you’ve done yoga before or not, all are welcome and the session will be designed specifically for parents/caregivers and children 0-5. Expectant parents are welcome as well!
